RetroShare

RetroShare bundles together an instant messaging, an email, and a file sharing client into one. This is an application you can use to talk to friends, send them messages, and share files with them. You can do all this without having to spend any of your hard earned money.

English is just one of the languages RetroShare supports; it also supports French, Italian, German, and several other languages. This means you can install RetroShare on your machine in the language of your choice. Your machine can be powered by Windows (XP, Vista, or 7), Mac OS X, or Linux (Ubuntu, Fedora, Debian and other distros are supported) because, as mentioned above, RetroShare is a cross platform application.

RetroShare’s interface presents buttons to the left and at the top, buttons that let you easily access all the functionality the application has to offer. You can customize the way the application looks by accessing the Options menu (click the cog icon from the left hand side) and then going to the Appearance submenu. You will be able to change the Style and Style sheet, as well as the language used by the interface.

There is one main reason why you would want to get RetroShare and enjoy the functionality it has to offer: you want to securely communicate with your friends and family. With RetroShare, you can chat, send messages, and share files securely. Nobody can see what you’re talking about or what you’re sharing because RetroShare is encrypted and because RetroShare does not upload anything to a server. It is a serverless application that encrypts all connections and lets you securely communicate with others.

RetroShare is free, easy to use, lets you securely communicate with others – I don’t see a reason why you wouldn’t want to use this application.
